The challenge

UNICEF works in over 190 countries and territories to save children’s lives, defend their rights and help them fulfil their potential from early childhood through adolescence. All of UNICEF’s publications must be produced to the highest standard and in line with house style and branding. 

The solution

We support UNICEF’s research teams by copyediting, proofreading and referencing UNICEF’s reports on a variety of topics. This ensures that the agency’s vital work is communicated as clearly and accurately as possible. We’ve worked across more than half a million words for UNICEF since 2022. 

• We work across high-stakes publications, such as UNICEF’s flagship report, The State of the World’s Children – the most comprehensive analysis of global trends affecting children, and the agency’s most widely downloaded report. 
• Our team conscientiously follows UNICEF’s style guide throughout the entire editing process, which comprises copyediting and reference checking in Word, followed by proofreading in PDF.
• At each stage of production, we check all tables, figures and boxes for consistency and accuracy.
