What is copywriting?

Copywriting is the moment when pen is first put to paper. It aspires to produce copy that is fresh, original and attention-grabbing – whether it’s for a killer campaign slogan, a strapline or a web page. Copywriters work best when they have the space to make mistakes and go off-piste – that’s often where the magic of great copywriting happens. There’s plenty of scope for it to be reined back in later, if need be.

Our copywriting service involves:

  • writing the copy you need from scratch – for anything from brand boilerplate text and press releases to web pages or other projects
  • taking a fresh and compelling angle on your intended message and finding creative ways to bring it to life so it stands out from the crowd

Quote

We usually work to an hourly or daily rate, but we’ll give you a good idea of how long your job will take before we begin and will keep you updated on progress as we go.

Prepare

We study your brief and get a feel for your brand, objectives and audience. Then we brainstorm approaches.

Write

We draft your copy. If required, we can deliver several versions, with commentary on the benefits of each, and leave you to choose your favourite.

Follow up

Once we’ve delivered the copy, we’re ready to course-correct or rewrite until you’re completely satisfied. Most copywriting would then need to go through copyediting and/or proofreading, which we can take care of too.

We accept payment via bank transfer and PayPal, which includes card payments via the PayPal interface.

For individual clients, we ask that you pay up front the first time we work together; after that, we’ll switch to 30-day invoicing. For businesses, universities and other organisations, we understand that you would most likely prefer an invoice on completion. We’ll ask for your business address, and our payment terms are 30 days from the date of invoicing.

Yes, as long as you can provide us with a full business address. For individual clients, we ask that you pay up front the first time we work together; after that, we’ll switch to 30-day invoicing.
