The challenge
The Creative Policy and Evidence Centre (Creative PEC) provides independent research and policy recommendations for the UK’s creative industries. It works across 10 thematic areas, such as the value of arts and culture, R&D and innovation, and diversity and inclusion.
Its team needed support to produce a flagship report that would showcase the work of the Creative PEC in its first five years.
The solution
We were contracted as a trusted partner to lead the report production, from initial concepts to print management. Our remit included copywriting support, editing, proofreading, design, project management and printing. The State of Creativity report was successfully launched during a high-profile conference at the British Film Institute with 400+ delegates.
- We led on the production of the report from scratch, working closely with the Creative PEC team and over 20 contributors.
- We edited contributions from researchers, striking a balance between using plain English and retaining complex research and policy analysis.
- We wrote several original pieces based on interviews and research.
- We created striking designs for the report and launch event at the BFI. These included illustrations, infographics, a logo, posters, presentations and other assets.
- We delivered the report on time and on budget by keeping to a detailed schedule.
- We later translated parts of the report into Arabic for the British Council for use at a separate event.
