We only use AI or machine translation tools if you’ve explicitly requested this service. If so, we’ll use a professional tool to translate your text. This does not store your original text or the translation. If you’d like to talk more about how machine translation works, please get in touch.

Though impressive, machine translations can’t yet rival the high standard of human translations. For low-stakes documents, professional machine translations can be a great option. But for documents that matter, there should always be a human in the loop. That could mean a fully human translation, or a human checking a machine translation. If you’re not sure which service is best for you, we’ll talk you through the options.

We offer translation services with or without proofreading. Our translators always aim to deliver polished translations, but it’s wise to get a second pair of eyes on any project to ensure your document is flawless before it’s published.

We can translate in any of the MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as in Google Docs, Google Sheets and the like. If you send us a designed document (such as a PDF), we’ll usually prepare a matrix (with the original on one side and the translation on the other) so your designer can easily see which part of the translated text corresponds to which part of the original. We also offer professional design and proofreading services if you need us to take care of this part of the job.

We calculate the cost of translations based on the number of words in your document and the languages involved. Send us your document and deadline and we’ll get back to you with a free, speedy and precise quote.

For most of our academic clients, we liaise directly with the finance department to sort out the admin, so you can focus on the research.
